Anne Belmont | Nature & Flower Photographer
Anne is a nature photographer specializing in the intimate world of flowers and botanicals. Her passion lies in capturing the intricate beauty of her subjects—delicate lines, patterns, textures, and the unique personalities of each subject. Anne believes that by slowing down and observing nature intentionally, we uncover stories, emotions, and compelling details that might otherwise go unnoticed. For her, photography is an intimate dance between artist and subject, where the creative process is more meaningful than the final image.
With a lifelong love for the arts and a deep connection to nature that began in childhood, Anne discovered photography as a perfect medium to share her vision. Her journey started at age ten when she received her first camera. Drawing from her career as an art therapist, she understands the profound healing power of art and nature, inspiring her approach to her photography and teaching. As an educator, Anne helps others see the world in new ways, tap into their creativity, and infuse their work with heart and emotion.
Anne’s favorite creative haven is the Chicago Botanic Garden, a sprawling 385-acre landscape that offers endless inspiration with its ever-changing light, color, and seasonal subjects. The Garden showcased her talent in a solo orchid photography exhibition, with larger-than-life panels displayed during its annual Orchid Show from 2015 to 2017. Her work has found homes in private collections across the U.S.
Anne is a valued team member and presenter for Out of Chicago Photography, where she shares her expertise at conferences and workshops nationwide. She is the author of two popular ebooks: The Art of Flower Photography: Capturing the Beauty of Flowers with Creativity and Emotion and Creative Flower Photography: An Illustrated Guide to the Magic of Lensbaby Lenses.
As a Lensbaby Trailblazer, Anne is passionate about using Lensbaby lenses in her work. She loves teaching others how to enhance artistry and bring emotion into their work with these unique lenses. She is firmly committed to the idea that we should never stop learning, growing, experimenting, and, most of all, having fun with photography.
