One More Week for the Butterflies

The Butterflies and Blooms exhibit at the Garden will close on September 3rd.  It has been wildly successful from what I have seen and the word at the Garden is that it will be back again next year with even more varieties of butterflies!  The Garden is to be commended for doing such a wonderful job with this exhibit.  Not only have the butterflies been fabulous, but the garden within the exhibit is lush and beautiful.  I think I've visited the exhibit six times this summer and hope to get back one last time before it closes in a week. One of the most beautiful of the butterflies to arrive more recently is the Red Lacewing.  It can be found from India to the Philippines and its name comes from the beautiful lace-like patterning of its underwings.  There were two variations in the exhibit and each is stunning.
