Just when you think you've seen them all, the Butterfly and Blooms exhibit just keeps getting more and more varieties. It's been a busy, busy week with more high temperatures, but my friend and fellow photographer, Toni, and I were bound and determined to visit the butterflies together again. We were not disappointed!
These Thoas Swallowtails are magnificent and despite the crowds of people passing through the exhibit to look at them, they just go about their business of reproducing.

Love the way this Starry Night Cracker is resting on a child's blue Star Wars shirt! It is so much fun to watch the children at the exhibit and their reactions to the butterflies. Most are enthralled and can't help but touch, but others are a bit afraid of all the flying creatures, especially those that freely land on humans.
