Two days ago in Chicago it was just barely above freezing; today it is 70 degrees. I won't pack away my down coat just yet, but it certainly is a nice respite from our usual cold March weather. The blossoms continue to appear at the Garden. I found a patch of winter aconite, with it's pretty but poisonous yellow flowers that can easily withstand more dips in the temperature. The greenhouse is full of beautiful orchids, one of which is pictured below.
