Butterfly Haven

Yesterday, my friend Maria and I went to the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Lincoln Park, cameras in tow, of course.  We photographed the beautiful butterflies for a couple of hours and watched as numerous groups of young children came through the haven to watch these wonders of nature.  If you haven't guessed by now, I love butterflies!  As an early childhood teacher I love teaching young children about the life cycle of the butterfly each spring.  Here are a few photographs of the beauties we saw.

Today I took advantage of another day of perfect weather to walk at the Garden and try out the new tripod I purchased while in the city yesterday.  Here are a few more photographs from the beautiful display of tulips in the Circle Garden.
